Greetings fellow PCA Members,

We have planned an exciting event, sponsored by GMP Performance, that we hope you will attend and enjoy. Please do not hesitate to register for the first “Down South” tour through beautiful rural country roads in Middle Georgia. Registration is filling up fast. We have a limit of 75 people to attend. It begins in Fairburn, GA. at 9am.

We will drive through some great scenic winding roads and through the charming town of Senoia for about 1.25 hours, then head to the Leroy Johnson Park to see some of Tim Baker and Marc Lacourly’s Porsches from their private car collections.

We then drive for another hour on more, wonderful roads through the charming small towns of Concord and Zebulon, heading to the Historical town of Barnesville, which is loaded with history. The entire town is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with the most significant building being The Historic Train Depot, circa 1913. This was the first rural town in the country to be electrified, during President FDR’s administration. The town was also the Buggy producing capital of the south around, 1900.

We then stop at about noon to visit the Boys & Girls Club for a short tour of the Club.

Our final destination is Honeywood Farms, arriving at about 1;30, to a beautiful farm property overlooking orchard and vegetable gardens. There we will have a delicious catered “southern home style” hot lunch and an exciting silent auction.

On display there will be about 100 Porsche related items for auction, including 50 items from the “Dick Barbour Memorabilia collection”. focusing primarily on Porsche items. We will also have some great items that will be given away in a drawing.

Another perk is having the opportunity to acquire one of the 50 small Porsche paintings done by the B&G Club children for this event. In coordination with Lamar Arts, these 3rd through 7th graders produced colorful and creative cars images, dating from the 50’s to current cars. Take one home with you for just $10 as a memory for having a fun day, and benefiting a very worthy cause. Attendees must be present to bid.

The cost of the event is $120 per vehicle. This includes a $100 donation to Boys & Girls Club.

The cost of lunch is $25 per person.

Approximately one week before the tour, you will receive an email with important info - your run group assignment, radio comms channel, schedule reminder, any last minute notices, and the detailed tour route. Peachstate uses the Ride With GPS app for our tours providing visual and voice navigation. PDFs of the route providing turn-by-turn directions will also be provided.
