What better way to end the tour year than with a trip to the beach? The Pensacola Naval Air Station Museum closed when Covid hit and stayed closed until earlier this year. I have wanted to take a tour there for a long time because the Naval Air Station Museum is probably the best air museum in the country and entrance is free.

It is a full day drive to Pensacola when you include rest stops and a lunch stop. So, we will drive down on Friday October 24. To make it more interesting we will go down through Eufaula, AL which is home to some gorgeous anti-bellum homes. That will make most of the drive down non-interstate.

We will visit the Naval Air Station Museum on the morning of Saturday October 25 and participants can stay as long as they like. Participants will have the afternoon off to do whatever they want. (Sip a cold one, eat seafood, sit on the beach?)

I have arranged for a block of 15 rooms at the modern Pensacola Beach Hilton, which is ocean front and has a restaurant and bar. The room block is for two nights with the option to add rooms based on space availability, and you can extend your stay for up to 3 nights at the same discounted rate. Room rates will be $219 plus 13.78% tax for standard rooms, or $239 plus 13.78% tax for ocean front rooms. There are at least four good restaurants within walking distance and the hotel has a restaurant and bar. You will get the link and phone number and group code to call when you are confirmed for the tour. The room block will be released 30 days before our arrival so don't wait to register to be sure you can get into this tour.

On Sunday everyone will be on their own to come home by the route of their choice, or extend their stay.
