Our house had five inches of rain during the five days leading up to rally day. The weather gurus predicted the same for our event. Nineteen brave teams showed up despite the forecast and all we had was a bit of drizzle before registration. The 2.5-hour course was laid out on some lovely country roads around Cumming by Scott Perkins, a new rally master for Peachstate Region, but an experienced writer for the Georgia Sports Car Club. Brian and Lisa King were gracious hosts for the end-of-rally party. Our special thanks go to Scott, Brian and Lisa. All 19 teams made it to the party even though two teams missed some of the nice roads and six found the clever off-course control that Scott had set up.

Our workers, who thankfully did not have to time cars in the rain, included Jeff and Nancy Frye, David Ulfik, Maureen Ringler, Bill Crumley, Marty and Debby Marsell, Dan and Cathy Saxton and David Owen from Akron, Ohio. Bob Axt stood in as tech inspector and George Pearl did his usual great job of photography. The Seat-of-the-Pants winners were James Lyle and Kylie Kremer with the Tour Group won by Faisal Aly and Amanda Wendt. Both of these teams had the same score of 139 (a penalty of just over two minutes on a 2.5-hour rally). Good work all!

The next Peachstate rally will be held during Rennfest on August 31^st at Brasstown Valley Resort (you must be registered for Rennfest in order to participate). Hope to see you there!
