Eleven teams turned out for the Tri-County Trek (i.e. Rally # 1) on the lovely spring afternoon of April 13^th. After travelling on some nifty country roads through Paulding, Polk and Bartow Counties we wound up at the Special Missions Hangar of Phoenix Air at the Cartersville Airport for photos by George Pearle, dinner and awards. Congratulations to the winning teams: Bryan Jefferies and Elena Wilson plus Katrina in Tour and Scott Perkins solo in S.O.P.

The terrific crew at Phoenix Air already had tables and chairs set up for us before the rally. Thanks to our checkpoint workers: James Lyle, Bob Kuchenbecker, Lewis Broyles and David Ulfik at checkpoint two plus Tom Allbee and Faisal Aly at checkpoint four. Janice Phillips did a fine job of checking the route a few days early and hangar neighbor Ben Methvin helped park the cars as they came in. Scott Perkins will be putting on Rally # 2 scheduled for June 8^th. Watch for details. See you there.
