FORECAST: Hot, Thunderstorms! In spite of what the weather person forecasted, thirteen rally teams arrived at the rally start, to enjoy the rally roads in South Fulton and Coweta Counties. For a number of the rally teams, this was their very first rally. A short instruction session was held for the new rally teams which must have worked since all teams made it to the party at the end of the rally. The rally route included a number of roads designated as Georgia scenic by-ways passing by horse farms and roads with overhanging trees looking almost like a picture post card from France.

The rally ended at the beautiful home of Sylvia and Mark Shugart where the grill was fired up and a traditional summer picnic of hotdogs and hamburgers was served. People ate, talked about their experiences on the rally route while enjoying the view of Lake Redwine from the Shugarts yard. The rally cards were scored and awards handed out. Many people are required to put on a rally. Many thanks go to Sylvia and Mark Shugart for allowing us to use their house for the end of rally party, as well as doing all the food preparation.

Thanks also go to our rally workers, Patti and Bob Kuchenbecker, David Ulfick, Danny Saxton, Thomas Coursey, with a special thanks to Barbara and Chris Gellner who worked the rally, checked the rally, and helped re-write legs #1 and #2 just days before the rally when road work closed one of the planned rally roads. I must also thank my bride, Suzanne, for putting up with me while working on the rally and answer innumerable computer questions from a computer challenged person.
