Topic: How to get your car ready for the 2010 DE and basic car care
I am pleased to announce a Tech Session for March 14, 2010 at my home away from home, Nalley Audi of Roswell from 1:00-3:00 PM. We will be discussing various ways to improve your car in regards to performance, reliability and safety for the upcoming DE Season. You do not have to be a track junky to benefit from this informative session as we will also be discussing various maintenance items and tips that will apply to all cars whether they are on a track or on the street. Make sure you bring a pad and pen to take notes. No refreshments will be served but we do have free coffee and snack / Coke machines at the dealership. I look forward to seeing you.

The Mitty: Classic Motorsports Mitty 2010 at Road Atlanta
This years Mitty celebrates Lotus cars and the BRE racing team and will feature:
- 10 Historic Lotus Cars from the Barber Museum on display in the Lotus tent.
- Peter Brock on hand to address fans in the Cobra Corral Area on Friday
- A BRE tent with many famous BRE racing cars on display
- Vintage racing all weekend with cars from Midgets and Sprites, to vintage F1 cars and everything in betweenwith an open paddock area. Think of it as a moving car show.
- BRE Reunion Dinner-This will feature tons of guests including many BRE team notables as well as Pete.
- There will be car corrals and a tent for any club that has 15 or more cars attending and each of these will be eligible for a group parade lap of the track. If you would like to host a car show there as well we would be happy assist you with judges from the magazine staff if you like.
- There is a Friday night kick off party sponsored by Classic Motorsports featuring free food and beer as well as music.
- Other highlights include a parts swap meet, a ride along in the new Lotus Elvora for any attendee provided by Lotus, The Moss Motors Pub where you can enjoy a pint, play some darts and make some new friends. A complimentary autocross course provided by Mazda in new MX-5 Miata's.
- Finally the weekend will also include the second Concours d’LeMons. You have to see it to believe it.

Spring Thing: The Smoky Mountain Region is pleased to invite all PCA members to the 36th edition of Spring Thing. This year the event will take place in Oak Ridge, TN with the Double Tree Hotel as the headquarter facility. Dates for the event are April 30 to May 2. The multi-region event includes a Concours on the grounds of the hotel, a Rally in the Cumberland Mountains to Buffalo Mountain, Windrock and Frozen Head State Park, and an autocross 15 minutes from the hotel.
Hotel contact information is Double Tree Hotel, 215 S. Illinois Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN 37830, (865) 481-2468. The room rate at the Double Tree is $96.00. Cut off date for PCA pricing is April 13, 2010. If you are local you are not required to stay at the hotel.
There are plenty of activities in the Oak Ridge area besides Porsche fun. There are great museums, sightseeing opportunities, and great shopping.
